Daniel Hiram Gibson Sr. aka Booby is a former American professional basketball player who played seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was selected by the Cavaliers in the second round of the 2006 NBA draft.

Gibson is a three-point specialist known as Booby, helped lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Finals in 2007, where they were swept by the San Antonio Spurs.

​

He led Jones High School to a Texas state championship, and scored more than 900 points in three seasons at the University of Texas.

​

He was named the NBA Rookie Challenge MVP in 2008 while playing for the sophomore squad.

​

He married the acclaimed R&B singer Keyshia Cole in 2011; they separated in 2014. They have a son named Daniel Jr.
